Hey! I'm an ENTJ female and my boyfriend is an ENTP. We have a great relationship and get along in ways that are really big and important. Though this relationship may be comfortable, it gives way to many potential misunderstandings that are not easily resolved.

In many ways they will balance one another out, and will likely challenge one another to develop their inferior functions. The sexual chemistry is usually on point. This can be a highly satisfying relationship for both partners, particularly if they are open to developing their inferior functions. Definitely worth a shot. With two mature partners, this pairing has serious long-term potential. Both types are highly independent, highly analytical and highly unconventional by nature.
These types naturally bring out the best in each other and have opposing weaknesses or blind spots, which makes for a well-rounded team. Both types enjoy exploring new ideas, debating theoretical issues and speculating future plans.
There are lots of things about our relationship that are fantastic that I won't mention here, because you all probably know how awesome ENTJ's are. Obviously, the core difference between us lies within P and J.
It seems that she has an idea of how she expects me to act, what I should be interested in, etc. Since I have a "people-pleaser" personality, I feel pressure to fit that mold.
Is this something that has characterized your ENTJ relationships? Does it get better? FUN The whole flexibility thing is a big deal, but not a deal-breaker, since my flexibility can count for both of us, and I can yield her the decision-making power on things that matter to her. BUT, one area that is remarkably absent from our relationship is just good, spontaneous, goofy, rambunctious FUN. The odd thing is that she is incredibly funny, engaging, and interested in absorbing information and new experiences.

However, it seems like everything has to have a purpose - as if she always has an end-goal in mind. No surprise, given her ENTJ-ness This gives our time together a very focused, determined, serious feel.
With regard to the time we spend together, I'm not even sure I'd call what we do "fun".
What we do is awesome, it's hilarious, it's inspiring, it's meaningful, it's rewarding, but not really what I'd call "fun".
